What exactly does Scout do?
Scout is a marketing toolkit for game devs: find YouTube creators who've actively covered your game or genre, see which trailer and short-form hooks are trending, and generate print-ready booth kits from your Steam page.
What are credits?
Credits are Scout's single wallet currency. A creator search, a trailer/shorts research scan, and a showcase generation and all other tools each cost credits. They're consumed per action, not per result.
Is this a subscription?
No — Scout uses one-time credit packs. You pay once and receive a set number of credits that never expire.
Can I add more credits later?
Yes. You can purchase additional credit packs at any time. All credits stack and never expire, so you can build up a larger balance whenever you need more credits.
What do I get in the CSV export?
Your selected creators including channel name, channel URL, subscriber count, recent relevant video title, and a direct About page link for outreach. The file is formatted for tools like Notion, Airtable, and CRM systems.
How do I access the email template generator and CRM dashboard?
Go to the Dashboard page after logging in. The email template generator and CRM dashboard are available there for managing your outreach.
What's the difference between creator search, research, and showcase?
Creator search finds active YouTubers covering your type ofgame. Research shows the trailers and shorts from your game query so you know what format to copy. Showcase turns your Steam page into print-ready table standees, posters, and wishlist cards for in-person events.
What data sources does Scout use?
Creator search uses the YouTube Data API to retrieve and filter creators in real time. Research uses SerpAPI and YouTube API to surface trailers and shorts based on your game query . Results are generated dynamically, not from static or prebuilt databases.
